Gümüşhane is one of the most visited provinces of the Black Sea. Located in the northern part of our country and making this felt with both its climate and geography, Gümüşhane is also surrounded by provinces such as Trabzon and Bayburt. There are districts in Gümüşhane that must be visited. Gümüşhane has a total of six districts, including the central district. It is easy to reach the central area from all districts. Gümüşhane city was established before the Republic and the Şiran, Torul and Kelkit districts of Gümüşhane city were also established before the Republic. Köse district was established in 1987 and Kürtün district in 1990. The most populous district of Gümüşhane is the Merkez district. The following district is Kelkit and the district with the least population is Köse.

CENTRAL DISTRICT:
The Central district, one of the most important districts of Gümüşhane, is the most crowded district of Gümüşhane due to the fact that it contains many places to visit and has many facilities. It is the district where transportation and similar things are easiest. Its population is over 51 thousand. There are two municipalities in total. When you come to Gümüşhane, the Central district will provide you with convenience in many ways. It is within walking distance to the market, supermarket, touristic places and you can easily go to historical structures in other districts by minibus.
There are neighborhood markets and many cafes you can visit in the Central district. In addition to these businesses, there are also parks and recreation areas. In addition, the Central district of Gümüşhane is very close to Trabzon. When you come to Gümüşhane, you can find many businesses to stay in the Central district. You can transfer from the Central district to other districts by minibus.

KELKIT DISTRICT:
Kelkit district, known for its proximity to Erzincan province, is a deep-rooted district established before the Republic. The history of the district dates back to before Christ and is one of the first settlements in the Black Sea.
The district is rich in historical artifacts. Here; Stala Castle, Sadak Bath, Sadak Caravanserai, Sadak Village Fountain, Sadak Village Mosque are located. It is a district located 60 kilometers from the center of Gümüşhane. Transportation is provided by minibuses.
Many medicinal plants grow in the mountains and forests of the district. When you go to Gümüşhane, you should definitely visit and see Kelkit. There are many plateaus in the high regions of the district. Festivals are regularly organized in these plateaus.

KÖSE DISTRICT:
Köse district, which was previously connected to Bayburt and later connected to Gümüşhane, is known for its proximity to Bayburt and Gümüşhane's Kelkit district. It became a district in 1987. Its population is more than seven thousand. A large part of this population lives in the district center.
Köse district is 47 kilometers away from the center of Gümüşhane. It is one of the closest districts to the center. There are natural elements such as mountains and plateaus seen in Gümüşhane and the entire Black Sea Region as natural formations in Köse district. Due to its rugged terrain and deep-rooted history, many areas have emerged to be visited.

KÜRTÜN DISTRICT:
Kürtün is a district that is rich in natural elements with its many waterfalls and plateaus, and is also located in the west of Gümüşhane and is the farthest from the central district. The Chepni people live predominantly in Kürtün and its ethnic culture is shaped in this direction. Its population is over 12 thousand and the local people earn their living mainly from agriculture and animal husbandry.
However, tourism also has an important place. Because there are many places to visit in Kürtün such as Güvende Plateau, Spider Forests, Çağlayandibi Waterfall, Kürtün Dam Lake, Alaca Plateau, Erikbeli Plateau, Kadırga Plateau, Kazıkbeli Plateau and Kadırga Open Air Mosque from Fatih Sultan Mehmet, Gölceğiz Plateau and Dikme Taşı, Yaylalı (Sümüklü) Village Churches and Acısuyu, Karagöl Mountain and Buzul Lake, Kabak Tepe Martyrdom.

ŞİRAN DISTRICT:
Şiran district, with a population of over nineteen thousand, makes its living through animal husbandry and agriculture. It is a district with a very old history and is also known in Gümüşhane for this aspect. It is a district famous for its apples. Fruit and vegetable production are among the most common activities.
Çakırkaya Monastery, Tomara Waterfall, Seydibaba Tomb, Gelin Ebe Tomb and Firdevs Hatun Tomb located in the district are of great importance in terms of tourism. When you come to Gümüşhane, you should definitely see and visit Şiran district.

TORUL DISTRICT:
Torul, one of the most famous districts of Gümüşhane, is one of the districts that clearly reflects the Black Sea culture. Although it is a very old district, it is also one of the districts that host the most visitors in Gümüşhane. It is very popular with its wide plateaus and mountainous areas. The kemençe and horon culture is developed.
It is a district famous for its fruit rolls. It is a district that receives a lot of rain. Its population is more than 10 thousand. When you come to Gümüşhane, you should definitely visit Torul. Touristic elements such as the viewing terrace in Torul attract the attention of visitors.
